About Pyxel

Who runs Pyxel
Pyxel is an independent web studio. It is not a large agency and it does not hide behind a sales team: you deal directly with the person who designs, writes and ships the work. The studio works remotely from Europe with clients worldwide, and its founder has more than fifteen years of experience building SaaS products.
The name is also a dog. Pyxel the pixel German Shepherd is the studio mascot and "Player 2" on the home page, where you can throw a ball for her, feed her and give her water. Her state is saved only in your own browser.
What the studio does
Pyxel takes on four kinds of work, all described on the home page.
- Websites: fast, accessible, search-friendly sites and landing pages for small businesses, non-profits and professionals, built so you can update them yourself.
- Integrations and automation: connecting the tools a business already pays for, such as payments, CRMs, ERPs, accounting, email and spreadsheets, through REST APIs, webhooks and data sync.
- Custom web apps and SaaS: booking systems, client portals, internal dashboards and multi-tenant backends, built with PHP and Symfony, JavaScript and MySQL, then tested and documented for hand-over.
- Cloud, DevOps and rescue: AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, cost reviews and production support, plus step-by-step stabilisation of inherited legacy PHP applications.
Projects follow four rounds: understand the problem, define the scope with a written proposal and a fixed price, build with weekly demos on a live preview link, and run, which means launch, hand-over and documentation, with optional ongoing care.
The Pyxel Lab
Alongside client work, the studio builds and runs a few small tools of its own. These are experiments, not client projects. Today the Lab contains two free tools for people preparing for the Thomas International General Intelligence Assessment (GIA) spatial reasoning section:
- Thomas GIA Spatial Reasoning Simulator: timed, rotated and mirrored letter pairs, with accuracy tracking and answer review.
- GIA Spatial Reasoning Practice: a slower practice mode that explains why rotation is allowed but mirroring is not.
Written explanations and preparation advice for the same assessment are published as GIA prep guides. The tools keep your answers in your browser while you use them. They are independent practice material and are not made, endorsed or approved by Thomas International. Our editorial policy explains how that content is written and corrected.
What this site is
pyxel.run is the studio's own site. It exists so potential clients can see what Pyxel does and how a project runs, and so visitors can find the Lab tools. It has no accounts and no contact forms, and it shows no advertising itself. The free tools on the subdomains do show ads served by Google AdSense, which the privacy policy describes in detail.
Working with Pyxel
If you have a project, a rescue job or a question about one of the tools, the quickest route is email. See the contact page for what to include and what to expect back.
