About this practice test
This is a short spatial reasoning drill modelled on the letter-matching style of question often described for the Thomas GIA. Each question shows boxes containing a pair of letters, one above the other. Your job is to decide how many boxes hold the same letter in both positions, remembering that turning a letter around does not change it but flipping it into a mirror image does.
Pick 0, 1 or 2 with the buttons or the number keys. After each answer you get a step-by-step explanation, including an animation of the rotation, so you can see why a pair matches or does not. Missed questions can be reviewed from the results screen. For more background, read the spatial visualisation guide.
This tool is independent and is not affiliated with Thomas International. The questions are original practice items, not real test content.
