Editorial policy

Scope

This policy covers the written content and tools Pyxel publishes: the pages on pyxel.run, the Pyxel Lab tools at thomas-gia.pyxel.run and thomas-gia-test.pyxel.run, and the GIA prep guides at pyxel.run/learn. It describes what we aim for. It is not a guarantee of results.

How content is made

Everything is written for a person who wants to understand or practise something, not to fill space. Each guide or tool page should answer a specific question, for example why rotated letters can match but mirrored ones cannot, or how to pace yourself in a timed spatial reasoning test. We do not copy text from other sites, and we do not publish thin pages made only to hold advertising.

The studio builds the tools itself, so explanations are written by the people who made them and can be checked against how the tools actually behave. Where a statement depends on a source, such as published information about the assessment, we say so and link to it where we can. Where we do not know something, we say that instead of guessing.

Independence from Thomas International

Pyxel is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Thomas International. Thomas International and GIA are names belonging to their owners and we use them only to say what our practice material is about. The tools contain our own generated questions and do not reproduce real test items. We have no access to real test content, scoring rules or candidate data. Practising with our tools does not predict or improve any specific result, and we do not claim it does.

Advertising and sponsorship

pyxel.run does not display ads. The free tools on the subdomains display ads served automatically by Google AdSense, and we do not choose the advertisers. Advertising has no influence on what we write or on how a tool scores an answer.

We do not accept payment for reviews, rankings or links, and we do not publish sponsored articles. If that ever changes, any paid content will be labelled clearly on the page. Ad placement is kept separate from content: ads must not be styled to look like navigation, buttons or answers. How ad cookies and personal data are handled is explained in the privacy policy.

Corrections and updates

Pages show a "last updated" date where the content can go out of date. When we find an error, or when a reader reports one, we correct the page and update that date. Substantive changes to a guide are noted on the page rather than silently rewritten. To report a problem, use the contact page and include the address of the page. We read every report and reply when you ask for an answer.

Studio pages

Claims on the studio pages describe the services we offer and how projects run. We do not list client names, awards or statistics that we cannot document. Client work is described only with the client's permission.

Who is responsible

Pyxel, an independent web studio, is responsible for everything published under these domains. You can learn more on the about page.
